Chamber Members want Education Programs

For as long as I've been involved with Chambers of Commerce -- either as a regular member, part of a committee, or in a consultancy role -- a consistent survey response from members has always been a desire to see seminars and workshops being offered.

At some point, most Chambers get motivated and offer some seminars and workshops. In the short and medium terms, this looks good and appears to work because every one sees that good things are happening at the Chamber and that the educational requests of its members are being met.

The challenge however, as always, is that these offerings need to be maintained and an evolving variety of classes and workshops needs to be offered in order to interest the various levels of experience of the membership ... and this is where things tend to break down.

It becomes more and more difficult over time to maintain quality, variety and frequency and becomes another burden for a usually under-resourced staff. At some point the euphoria dies down and educational offerings tend become an afterthought.

Well ... don't despair! Thanks to technology, we have been building a resource library of free online webinars and workshops specifically for Chamber members who are interested in growing successful organizations. This library numbers well over a hundred and covers all the major areas of interest. Our Chamber partners offer this invaluable resource free to all their membership.
